Gotong Royong at Dyslexia Association of Sarawak ( 23.07.2011 )

























*Joint project between our sister clubs – Leo Club of SMK St. Joseph and Leo Club of SMK Kuching High*
10 members from our club have lent a helping hand in this project.
The objective of this project was to do community service and promote collaboration among members of the Leo Club between our schools. This collaborative effort will expose our members to the spirit of volunteerism and raise their awareness about the needs of the disadvantaged members in our society today.

Region 1 Leo Clubs Joint Installation
– 69 Leo Members from our club have attended this event. 51 new members were inducted.

- 2 key officers from our club attended this event.

Fellowship dinner with Taiwan Youth Exchange Students ( 14.08.2011 )



5 Leos from our club have participated in this event.
It was indeed an eye opener to meet and understand more about the culture of Leos from different countries.

Bak Chang Sale at Salvation Army Boys' Home ( 27.08.2011 )


*Jointly carried among Host Club, Lions Club of Kuching Host and
sister clubs, Leo Club of SMK St. Joseph and Leo Club of SMK Kuching High*
8 Leos from our club have helped out in this event.
Items sold: Non-halal ‘Bak Chang’s, instant noodles (Mi Sedap), canned food, books and decorative items.
A total fund of RM 2984.00 was raised for Salvation Army.

Hari Raya Visit to Cancer Ward ( 10.09.2011 )

*Jointly carried among Host Club, Lions Club of Kuching Host and
sister clubs, Leo Club of SMK St. Joseph and Leo Club of SMK Kuching High*
10 Leos from our club were involved in the visiting.
The objective was to spread joy and happiness to the children in the cancer ward with mascots of Upin and Ipin. Goodies bags were also give to every child in the ward.
Every effort was worth it when we saw the smiling faces of the children :)

Visiting to Cheshire Home : Mooncake Festival Celebration ( 24.09.2011 )



*Organized project - Jointly carried among Host Club, Lions Club of Kuching Host*
26 Leos from our club volunteered to help in this event.
The objective was to bring fun and joy to the residents especially during this festive season.
Leos had fun with the inmates as they sang along and went for a walk in the compound with lanterns in their hands.

Charity Foods Sale at Home of Peace ( 06.11.2011 )

4 Leos from our club have helped out in this event.
Items sold: Non-halal ‘Bak Chang’s, ‘lemang’ and bamboo chicken
A total fund of RM 1251.00 was raised for the Home of Peace (HOPE).

Leo Day : Fulfilling Christmas Wishes of the Residents of
Sarawak Cheshire Home  ( 05.12.2011 )



*Organized Project*
32 Leos from our club have participated in this project.
 The main objective of this project was to fulfil the Christmas wishes of the residents of Sarawak Cheshire Home.
With the help of Lions, Leos and their parents, we managed to fulfil all 3 wishes of the residents there.
Refreshments (homemade cookies, homemade cheese cupcakes, and drinks) were also given to the inmates.

Visiting to Cheshire Home : Chinese New Year Celebration ( 03.02.2012 )


*Organized Project*
34 Leos from our club have lent a helping hand in this project.
 The objective of this project is to bring fun and joy to the residents there especially during this festive celebration. It is also a chance for our Leos to spread love to the unfortunates.
The project started with a lion dance performance. Red packets and oranges were given after Leos enjoyed their time sharing stories with the inmates while serving the inmates some scrumptious food.

Monthly Contribution to Sarawak Cheshire Home ( 02.03.2012 )

*Organized Project*
The main objective of this project was to help the inmates of Sarawak Cheshire Home by contributing supplies (milk powder, oatmeal, diapers, etc.) which they are lacking of. The project is held on a two months basis.
Donations made for month of February-March: 3 boxes of milk powder, 5 packets of milk powder (700g each) and 4 tins of oatmeal (700g each). Donations come solely from Leos and their parents.

50th Multiple District 308 Lions Convention ( 19.04.2012 - 21.04.2012 )


8 Leos from our club had volunteered to help out in the 50th Multiple District 308 Lions Convention.
Leos helped out in any way they could to make the convention a success. Leos who helped out in the event were invited to the appreciation dinner at Saracraft pavilion on the 1st of May, 2012.

Preparations for White Elephant Sale ( 21.04.2012 & 28.04.2012 )


*Organized Project*
2 preparations for our upcoming White Elephant Sale were made at PERKATA special school.

- 1st Preparation (21.04.2012) 14 Leos came to lend a helping hand. Leos came to help clean all the donations we have received while others sorted out the items according to their typed. All items were priced.

- 2nd Preparation (28.04.2012) 13 Leos came to lend a helping hand. Leos helped to carry the items into a room which will be our White Elephant Stall. Leos arranged the items neatly and anticipate the sale the next day to help raise funds for PERKATA special school.

White Elephant Sale ( 29.04.2012 )

*Organized Project*
30 Leos helped out in this event.
3 stalls were set up during the event ---- White Elephant Stall (sells unwanted goods which are still in good condition), Book Stall and Food Stall. All items sold at our stalls are of donation from public, Leos and their parents. Leos did their best to promote the items sold at our stalls to help raise more funds for the school.
A total fund of RM 2069.00 was raised for PERKATA Special School.
